Sara Kaplan joins the firm with a passion for assisting those in need. As a law student, she clerked for two years at the plaintiff's firm of Blume Goldfaden Berkowitz Donnelly Fried and Forte. While at Blume, she not only assisted on cases involving catastrophic injuries, but gained a wide exposure to the insurance industry and became determined to help those in vulnerable positions obtain the benefits they deserve. Her final project at the firm involved briefing an ERISA life insurance case in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. The brief successfully opposed summary judgment, and the case ultimately settled.
Sara is a 2010 graduate of Rutgers School of Law-Newark, were she was selected for membership on the Moot Court Board and served as the Submissions Editor for the Womens' Rights Law Reporter.
Prior to entering private practice, Sara served as the Law Clerk to the Honorable Peter A. Buchsbaum, J.S.C. in the New Jersey Superior Court, Law Division, Civil Part.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rutgers University in 2007, with a B.A. in Political Science. She speaks fluent Hebrew and is reading-writing proficient in Modern Standard Arabic.
